Letters In The Sand Tut



Supplies used:
Mermaid tube by Edward Reed. I bought this tube from CILM which is no longer open. However I did my research and found his art is now available at PTE.
Scrapkit called Splash! By the wonderful Tashas Playground. You can get it at SATC
Filters: Eyecandy 4000 Glass and gradient glow (font)
Fonts used: Grimmy and Redfive (Name)

Open a new image size 600 by 600.
C/P frame 4. Resize by 75%.
Click the inside of the frame with your magic wand. Selections, Modify, Expand by 5. Add a new raster layer and move under the frame. C/P Paper 11 into selection. (I wanted a purple background so I added another layer floodfill with purple under the paper. Then change the layer property of the paper to Luminance.)
Deselect.
C/P sparkle 2 and position over the paper. (use your eraser on any bits outside the frame if desired)
Dropshadow frame.
C/P sand. Position just over the frame. Duplicate and mirror. Merge Down. Duplicate again and change layer property to Multiply.
C/P Seaweed. Resize by 50%. Dropshadow. Duplicate and Mirror. Duplicate again and position at the center of the frame.
C/P Seaweed 2. Resize by 50%. Position to one side of the frame. duplicate and mirror.
C/P Wave. Resize by 75%. Position over the bottom of the seaweed.
Dropshadow. Duplicate and mirror.
C/P Jellyfish. Resize by 30%. Add Dropshadow and duplicate.
C/P Fish 3. Resize by 30%. Dropshadow and duplicate.
C/P Fish 1. Resize by 30%. Dropshadow and duplicate.
Use your deform tool to vary the positions of those elements.
C/P Tube. Dropshadow.
C/P Anchor. Resize by  50%. Dropshadow. Use deform tool to position.
C/P Bottle. Resize by 30%. Dropshadow.
C/P Starfish 2. Resize by 30%. Dropshadow.
C/P Starfish. Resize by 30%. Dropshadow.
(The orange starfish is from my tube...If you like you can always duplicate and mirror one of the starfish from the kit.)
C/P Clamshell. Resize by 20%. Dropshadow.
C/P Marble. Resize by 15%. Position in clamshell.
C/P Shell. Resize by 30%. Mirror. Add dropshadow.
C/P Shell 3. Resize by 30%. Dropshadow.

With the Grimmy font size 24 Create as floating type out your font (for 2 lines like mine you will have to repeat the steps or use spaces to get line 2 in the correct position)
DO NOT CONVERT TO RASTER.
Promote selection to layer. Hit delete. Now you should have only the floating outline with no background.
DO NOT DESELECT.
Add Inner Bevel 2 Times with these settings...
And drop shadow 3 times with these settings....
Now deselect. Use your move and deform tools to position how you want it.
For your name select the red five font. Select a color from your tube as the foreground and a contrasting color as the background. Close the foreground. On your background click the gradient tab and use these settings...
Type out your font as a vector and convert to raster.
Add Glass....
Then Gradient Glow...
The dropshadow.
